Hello All! My name is Miss Colleen Vecellio
My name is Colleen Vecellio and I am the new Art Teacher at Fox Chapel Country Day School.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Art History from Pennsylvania State University in 2009.
I continued my education at Kent State University, where I received my Master's in the Art of Teaching with an
Art Education concentration.
My previous Art Teaching position was as Art Teacher at the Falcon Academy of Creative Arts in Ohio.
I enjoy creating art lessons that are relevant to students' lives, which makes the art making process much more significant to their life and fun!
Art is about making an idea into a reality. Nothing in this world was created without passing through an artist's hands. This is art's life skill.
Art has the ability to free children's pent up creativity and imagination. With this, I get to see the beautiful world that children believe is possible then create.
I am blessed to have a career as an Art Teacher. I'm further blessed to work with amazing and creative children everyday!
